Welcome EMC. Here's sample pictures of my builds for your consideration of allowing me to work as part of the Build Team.
When I first joined EMC I started by creating Port Home on SMP2 > Frontier (C) > NE. I was me for a while, then a couple of people joined me for a few months, but didn't stick around. After a few years I teamed up with some other people and we had an idea to build structures in the wild that weren't "own" by anyone. We had built a ship, an Inca pyramid, and an iceberg. Then the idea fizzled out and we went our separate ways. The following images are from my recent builds at Port Hope. I'm tearing down some of my older structures and replacing with a more modern look.
The castle was griefed and in a state of disrepair.
The church was also griefed, but I'm working on its restoration.
I'm constructing a maze based on a 3D maze found in Highlights magazine that my kids had.
The iceberg... When I had our adventure team, we covered a sand island with white wool, then excavated the sand from within.
Port Hope. The design is older fashioned medieval style. I'm converting it to a more modern seaport. The lighthouse (more of a light beacon) has a rotating redstone light on top.
In town, my res is at SMP2/3221. I've done a couple of different designs over the years. Now, I'm starting a new project that's an art display. It's designed after the interactive art projects at Meow Wolf. In my project there's over 90 rooms that are 10 x 10 each. Each room has a different theme or style. There's also (going to be) a puzzle element to try to figure out. Here are some samples from "The Rooms".
I've worked with redstone, but I'm not an expert. Most of my ideas come from posts and videos I see on the internet. Below: These are steps that appear when you walk up to them.
This was a maze tower I built years ago that went from ground to above the clouds. As it turns out, people aren't much into mazes so I scrapped it for another build.
I worked with WorldEdit many years ago. I loaded it onto my local PC to familiarize myself with the commands. Here, I gave the villagers a "super church".
I imported a schematic to give them an arcade.
Copy pasting urban planning...and a pink lake.
Using the different shapes.
I enjoy the building process. I've created several structures on EMC, many which I've forgotten about or reconstructed. I concentrate more on exterior than interior design.
I still have an 8 to 5 job, but in two years I hope to retire and dedicate more time to EMC at which I might be able to do some Project Management.
